Proms Family Orchestra & Chorus Sessions

The Proms Family Orchestra and Chorus invite families, whatever their shape and size, to join the musicians of the Proms in playing and creating music together. It doesn't matter if you're a first-time or a virtuoso, the result is thrilling music-making that can make it all the way to the Proms stage.

Proms Family Orchestra and Chorus workshops take place through the season with a number of one-off sessions programmed alongside Proms that we think you and your family might enjoy. Led by our team of professional musicians, the Proms Family Orchestra and Chorus are open to all family members. From those who have never played or sung before to budding musicians and rusty-returners. A great way to enjoy playing music together as a family, while exploring it in a fresh and exciting way. Aimed at those aged 7 upwards, Whatever instrument you play, at whatever level, you can come and join in the fun.

All Family Orchestra events take place at the Royal College of Music.

Proms Family Orchestra inspired by children's classics including Rimsky-Korsakov and Bernstein. 

Proms Family Orchestra events are aimed at children aged 7 plus and their families. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants must sign up in advance.
